In this episode we tackle the legendary Messina Strait, dodging multiple swordfish fishing (Passerelle) boats, whirlpools, currents and traffic. The Scendente and Bastardi currents made their presence known, but soon enough we were spat out the top in one piece! Despite losing our orientation ever so slightly whilst behind the wheel(!), we soon set our sights on the beautiful Aeolian Islands just North of Sicily. We anchor off a stinky and steamy elderly volcano, find HOT bubbling springs and a collection of seriously organised fish!
