“The boat is going better day by day,” was how Francesco Bruni described the progress being made by the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team out at the team’s winter training base in Cagliari and he’s certainly not wrong. On Saturday, the team put extra weight on the boat in the form of two extra crew-members – “big guys” as Bruni described them – and although the struggle for lift-off was real, once the boat was flying it was showing all the signs of a pocket rocket. The Italian LEQ12 looked in perfect control as the wind gusted in on a tricky day that saw the early morning calm replaced by a boisterous 17-24 knots that ultimately saw an early time-out called on the session to preserve the asset. Reconnaissance a) As a campaign cost reduction measure, COR/D has mutually agreed to cooperatively implement a centralised reconnaissance programme for all teams for the reconnaissance of all Competitors’ AC75 Yachts, AC40 Yachts and LEQ12 yachts including both on-land and on-water imagery (the “Joint Recon Programme”). b) Each team is assigned a two-person Recon Unit to follow their every on-water move, but it's not that simple.
