Low Cost DIY Messenger Line to Metal Halyard - Improved Method
I discovered the easy and low cost method to attach a messenger line to a metal halyard. In the past, I simply tied a bowline knot and taped over the mess. What a pain that has been on my 470 main halyard and jib halyard. I just redid my Star halyards and I am going to go back and use this method so that the lines flow smoothly. Also this method allows us to reuse the metal halyard instead of buying and whole new setup for $$$$ that we can use elsewhere!
