Lost in the Labyrinth of Knossos (Ep. 22) | Sailing Catamaran Element

The family sailing crew of Element, living aboard a Catana 471 Catamaran set sail for the Greek Island of Crete as they make their way out of the Mediterranean Sea towards the Atlantic Ocean after spending the winter in Finike, Turkey and exploring the surrounding area. Sailing to Crete can be a challenge from the east with the typically strong prevailing northwest winds and so it would be for the Element crew with winds over 30 knots on the nose at times. Once safely at anchor the crew visit Spinalonga Fortress near Nikalaos, then have another overnight sail to Chania, where they visit the Palace of Knossos steeped in Greek Mythology of Labyrinths and Minotaurs followed by the wonderful Minoan Civilization Museum.
