Living off the ocean - San Jose

San Jose in the Las Perlas is an incredible place teeming with wildlife above and below the water. We ended up here after sailing from Benao despite our intended destination being Vista Mar Marina further north. As it turned out, this is a great place to explore. With very few people around, it is incredibly quiet. The beaches are amazing. You will see white sand streaked with black volcanic sand running through the white sand like veins. We anchored the dinghy sometimes and swam ashore only to see crocodiles on the beach at our next anchorage. I think we were lucky. We also saw Macaws flying overhead a few times. What a place.
