It was finally time to head off our of Staniel Cay to make our way down to the killer cruiser destination of Georgetown, Exama. But we're in no hurry and we wanted to stop by a couple of anchorages we missed last year as well as Lee Stocking, Island. After provisioning at 4 (yes 4) grocery stores in Staniel Cay, we head off. We finally are able to snorkel the piano playing mermaid which, we've read, was hid underwater by David Copperfield. The exploration in this episode brings me back to my childhood. The Bahamas is truly a cruisers playground that will bring out the kid in all of us. Once we get to Georgetown, we needed to top off our tanks. 35 gallons of diesel and a trip to the Shell fuel dock and we're all topped off. It's a ton of work but I wouldn't trade it for anything. We finally get our first exposure to the awesome cruising community, daily meet ups at Chat and Chill and Volleyball. Tons of fun. We now know why some cruisers say Georgetown is the velcro anchorage of the Bahamas. 00:00 We need a bigger boat! 02:24 Time to shop! 03:33 And away we go 06:32 Huge Sand Bar 07:32 Submerged Piano Player 08:59 Exploring Lee Stocking Island 11:25 Our last day at the Beach on Lee Stocking 11:59 Refilling at Georgetown 13:31 Onwards to the Chat and Chill 14:24 Emptying our Holding Tanks Episode 27
