Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez | Nanoq - Will Oxley Interview

It’s now two months since Australian navigator Will Oxley sailed aboard King Frederik of Denmark’s chartered TP52 Nanoq (Red Bandit) to their fourth consecutive IRC B Division win at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. Red Bandit has subsequently gone on from there with her German owners to win their division in the Rolex Middle Sea Race. So, a well set up and crewed early generation TP52 can still do very well under IRC! In this interview with Will Oxley in Saint-Tropez he ranges across a broad range of interesting topics; sailing with King Frederik (that goes back to Hamilton Island Race Week in 2017), sailing with Will Ryan and Tom Burton, why Les Voiles is one of his top three favourite regattas, explaining the unusual weather patterns on the French Riviera and finally future projects, including working with the foil assisted 34m Baltic 111 Raven on a possible Jules Verne attempt and time on the campaign with George Sakellaris’ maxi Proteus.
