LAUNCH DAY 2025 -- The Troubles Begin!

After 3 years of mild winters with less than normal rainfall and snowfall, the water levels on Lake Michigan are down considerably this year leading to innumerable problems. With the water levels being down on the Fox River, we had difficulty getting the boat launched. We had to wait for a day when the water was up enough to launch. We had the same problem with putting the mast back on. Eventually, we had to bring in an industrial crane with enough reach to be able to lift the mast out to the boat. There is also a mounting and lingering concern as to whether we will be able to get the boat into our slip at Wave Pointe Marina. For now, that is a problem for another day.
