Last year I was an organic grain farmer in Alberta. In July 2023, the opportunity came for me to leave that life and follow my long-time dream of living and travelling on a sailboat. This year, I am learning to sail and am living aboard this 1981 Newport 28. From the backcountry of Northern Canada to the vast expanse of the ocean aboard my 28' sailboat, my life has been a series of unorthodox experiences. Whether guiding fishing expeditions in Canada's far north or cultivating a thriving farm business, I've always tried to live life on my own terms.
