Indonesia – Blue Planet Odyssey in Bau Bau

The city of BauBau and the regency has lots to offer to visitors. The BPO participants had a chance to taste great local food ( like the “parende” fih soup) as do interesting cultural and natural sightseeing. From weaving & sarong making to black pearl farming … from cultural village ceremonies to a tour of the Keraton fort. The group had a great conversation with the students of a local highschool about climate change. We were also welcomed by the city mayor, Drs Tamrin. Visited the Lacasa Cave and did some scuba in Lova Lova Cave. The local guides were great and this was one of the most memorable stopover of the Indonesian rally leg.
