helicopter rescue at Lady Musgrave

In Bambola we sailed north from Sydney where it was raining a lot, towards Brisbane and anchored in the lagoon of a coral island called Lady Musgrave's Island. After a couple of days a blow was forecast so I moved Bambola towards the centre of the lagoon and laid out every foot of anchor chain I had in the 10 metre deep water over coral sand. That night it blew 60 knots with waves coming over the reef. Two yachts dragged their anchors and were driven onto the reef. I called the Australian coastguard as did an Australien yacht anchored near me and a helicopter was dispatched to pick up the crews before the boats were driven over the coral reefs into deep water and sank...
