Heating Element Replacement - Quick Boiler

I have had to replace the heating element a couple of times on my boat. It is an easy job and you should schedule this into your maintenance plan. The video is unfortunately not comprehensive but I thought I would post it to help anyone who is going through the process. It is an easy job so crack on and just do it. If you are removing the whole tank to clean it out, you will also need to disconnect the coolant pipes. This is a bit more challenging and you will need to refer to your engine owners manual too. When you have coolant loss in the system, you can end up with air-pockets in the pipework and these can be difficult to remove. Make sure you buy the right element for either 110V or 220V. When replacing the element, take care to not over tighten it as you can damage the rubber seal. I suggest ordering a couple of spare seals / o-rings as backup.
