With the forecast only showing 5 knts for day 5 no one expected much of the medal series, however none of this turned out to be true. With strong winds and high swell, the medal series couldn’t be more exciting! The idea of the medal series is simple 3 races in an elimination format, the first 2 to cross the finish line advance to the next final. With High speeds and no room for error the racing was intense, but this didn’t keep Pilar La Madrid and Frenchman Nicolas Goyard away from their gold medal.
