Fibreglassing layer 2 on my Drascombe Lugger and filling cracks in the transom
Its a lovely warm winter's day again, so back at the boatyard to do some more fibreglassing. We also experience the funny tide here at Fiddlers Ferry. It rushes in over the course of about 1-1.5 hours and then ebbs out slowly for the next 10 hours. On a spring tide you often see a bow wave coming in on the tide. Anyway we also tend to the cracks on the transom which need tidying up and thats about it for one day! 00:00 A lovely morning 00:56 A Drascombe Lugger Waterfall! 01:55 Drying the boat cover out 02:32 Checking the fibreglassing out 05:18 The funny River Mersey tide 06:13 Fibreglassing layer 2! 11:51 Coffee time! 12:33 Sanding the transom 13:53 The resin is already setting in the warmer air 14:39 The tide turns! 15:21 Polyester Stucco-ing the transom cracks 16:54 High tide I hope you enjoyed this video. ??
