10 days. Tomorrow is inspection day, which means today is basically: EVERYTHING. EVERYWHERE. ALL AT ONCE. 😂 Showgirl needs to be ready, everything needs to be where it should be, and hopefully by the end of tomorrow I get the thumbs up to go on this slightly crazy adventure around the world. Today we adjusted the mainsheet so I can control it from both sides, secured the spinnaker poles on deck, installed the boom brake, which I am still figuring out but WILL know how to use properly before I leave 😂, and kept working on the solar panels. And they look SO good. We also cleaned because... wow. The boat was a mess. There are tools everywhere, things moving on and off the boat, jobs being finished and another million things happening around me. But we're getting there. Tomorrow I find out if everything we've been working towards actually ticks all the boxes in that very, very important rule book. So now I cross my fingers, keep working, and hope Showgirl passes her exam. 🤞 10 days until I sail solo, non-stop around the world.
