During their visit in Istanbul, they explore the Hagia Sophia, originally constructed as a greek orthodox basilica, later converted to a muslim facility. The crew then continue exploring Istanbul by visiting the Spice Market District, The Basilica Cistern used by ancient Constantinople as a water storage facility the home of the mysterious heads of Medusa, Taksim Square at the modern city centre and the Dolmabahce Palace used as a Summer residence by Turkey's first ever president Attaturk. The crew of Sailing Catamaran Element are then advised by a few locals to visit Suleiman mosque and compare it to the famous but quite crowded Blue Mosque....We hope you enjoy watching!
