Episode 69 - Simple Propane Upgrade for our Boat

158 Views· 13/07/25

It took me one time to swap out my small propane tank onboard “Moments in Time”. I had to grab a wrench to take the propane pigtail hose off, the propane locker was located in the sail locker with limited room with restricted wrench rotation. And then to my chagrin, the short 24-inch pigtail hose would not even reach my backup tank. Like, WTF!, I had to unstrap and remove the tank bracing system and then remove my backup tank and relocate it where my primary tank previously resided. What should have been a 30-second switch over took 10 minutes. NOT AGAIN! See our simple modifications that made my propane tank swapping a 30-second task. The well-known Doctor Propane joined me to assist and explained everything I need to know about propane tanks and storage. This is a “must see” as it changed my thinking around propane usage and storage on a boat. Subscribe and share the adventure!
