Ep 79 - Offshore Boat Race Sailing Free Spirit

EP 79 - Offshore Boat Races - Nationals, Clearwater Beach (Sept 2023) It’s that time of year again! The offshore boat races come to Clearwater Beach. This race is for the Nationals that is sponsored by the Race World Offshore. There is a practice day and the following day we take our friends boat out to watch the races live along the race track that is approx a 2 mile run from North Clearwater Beach to the Pier at Clearwater Beach. This is in preparation of the Finals that take place in November 2023 also put on by Race World Offshore. The finalists from this race make into the finals round in Key West which I believe is televised on Race day. We were not able to make it down for that race but it’s always fun to watch them in your own back yard. We enjoy the practice day by just anchoring outside of the race path where on practice day only they will get super close and buzz right by you. It’s super fun and exhilarating to feel the boats and see the rooster tails they can throw off their boat. The drivers and crew are all pretty relaxed and fun people to hang around with after the race! All financial contributions (or items purchased on Amazon) are tax deductible for your US income tax returns for full face and/or retail value. You contribution helps us to continue with project and support events to help us engage with our veterans thru events such as day sailings, working on the boat to help with projects and social gatherings.
