EP. 35 We Made a HUGE Decision

The Staniel Cay Yacht Club was a highlight of our time there. We chose to buy a dock for a few nights and it allowed us to explore the island during inclement weather, and get some much needed boat projects done. Our diesel exhaust is giving us trouble again, this time filling our cockpit lockers with carbon soot (don't worry we have a carbon monoxide detector in the cabin of Seawind). I take apart the exhaust, find the problems, and get right into fixing the issue. These repairs are only temporary and I will be redesigning and replacing the entire exhaust system once home. Speaking of home, we made a huge decision while in Staniel Cay. Katy and I, along with Trio decided that it was a good time to turn around and start our journey back towards the United States. We couldn't have asked our first season of cruising to go any better. It's time to head back, rest, visit family, fix some problems on Seawind and do some other upgrades, and see where the wind shall take us from there. We leave the dock with help from everyone around, anchor over at Pig Beach, enjoy dinner and a sunset in the cockpit, and feel the love of the cruising community that surrounds us.
