Week 7 of the Vendée Globe has been a tough one. The entire fleet has been in one of the most remote locations on earth where there is little if any help. Yet all the skippers have their foot to the floor, pushing hard in the wilderness. Deep fatigue is starting to set in and the combination of stress, anxiety and thoughts of home during the festive period make this one of the hardest phases of the race both mentally and physically.
