E67 - Catamaran vs Monohull, the BIG race (Camden Harbour Settlement & Sampson Inlet)

857 Tampilan· 18/02/22

We leave the Prince Regent River and head down Rogers Strait to the historic Camden harbour Settlement, hooking a big fish along the way. We visit Sheep Island where we visit the grave site of the first white woman to be buried in the Kimberley. Heading around to Sampson Inlet we explore the fresh water river and have swim in the pools. Leaving Camden Harbour, No Regrets and Laylah have a an epic race tacking our way out of the bay and around Slate Islands heading south, a classic battle of Catamarans vs Monohulls! We're Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change. We are just an ordinary Aussies couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams. #seawind1260 #kimberleys #circumnavigationaustralia #seawindcats #waterfall #drone
