Join us this week as I learn to DIY tune our rigging on our 40ft sail boat. We noticed that our leeward lower/ intermediate shrouds were very saggy when sailing upwind in 20 knots. After doing some research I realised this was less than ideal and is something we should address sooner rather than later. So I set about tuning our rigging, pre-tensioning the cap shrouds and backstay. Let us know how we got on, and whether this was remotely useful to you! This is definitely not a how to video, it is just me following a book, and trying to share my experience of tuning the rig as a total amateur.
