Dragging Anchor ALONE in Guadeloupe

4,263 Görünümler· 01/08/24

Today was a bit of a hectic one. We're sailing south through the Caribbean in the middle of hurricane season and the weather is getting rough. Solo sailing has presented some challenging moments but between dragging anchor and struggling to pick up the worst mooring balls I've seen, lots of lessons were learned today. These are the tough moments that I feel make me a stronger captain and a stronger man as I go through them. What a blessing that we could end the day on a calm note. Hopefully this helps someone prepare for their own solo sailing or at least for a trip to Deshaies, Guadeloupe. Proud to be a member of the cruising/sailing community, a community that always lends a helping hand. Thanks for watching everyone!
