Determine Ship's Trim, Change of Trim (COT), and Moment to Change Trim by 1cm (MCTC)
This video shows how to calculate a ship's Trim, Change of Trim (COT), and Moment to Change Trim by 1cm (MCTC). It also shows how to determine MCTC using a hydrostatic table. Trim is the difference between the vessel's forward and aft drafts, measured at the respective perpendiculars. Change of Trim (COT) refers to the variation in a vessel's longitudinal inclination due to a change in weight distribution. Moment to Change Trim by One Centimeter (MCTC) is the trimming moment required to change the ship’s trim by one centimeter. #stability #hydrodynamics #maritime #seafarer #seaman #bsmt #maritimestudents #seamanship #trim
