The opening day of the 2026 44Cup was a fine one with a southwest wind that built to 15 knots and skies that cleared to reveal the long-awaited Canary Islands sun. The winter’s break having been a short one, there were no cobwebs among any of the teams racing off Puerto Calero as best demonstrated by there being a different winners in each of today’s first three races of the 44Cup Calero Marinas.
