Beautiful restored 1971 Buchan Star International sailboat sail/hull number 5525. This sailboat was originally built for the legendary Sir Durward Knowles, who won the Olympic gold medal for sailing in 1965. He raced this sailboat (named Gem XI) in the 1972 Olympics and numerous world championships. Sailboats, like automobiles, come in many flavors: mini-vans, SUVs, sports cars and then race cars. This Star International is a formula one RACE CAR! All aluminum trailer, two large, reinforced fiberglass storage boxes, new tires and rims, new LED lights, wheel bearings recently serviced. Updated running backstays, much of the running rigging updated and all working.
