Chat 18 catamaran first sail of 2026

For my birthday treat this year I sailed our Chat 18 catamaran for the first time since before Christmas. A clean bottom and new antifouling did wonders for both speed and manouverability! I only sailed for a couple of hours, in part because the weather was worsening, but mainly because the tide was dropping and I needed to get back onto our beach mooring. It was a great sail, just touching 8 knots at times. In fact the whole area shown in this video dries out at low tide - it's called "West Mud" for a reason!
