Boatlife Unfiltered: Sometimes it Sucks!

Boatlife isn't just calm seas and pretty sunsets, sometimes boat life just plainly sucks. Our planned passage from Corfu to Paxos got shut down fast when severe headwinds forced us to abandon that trip, but turning back didn't bring any relief. We spent a miserable night trapped in a bouncy anchorage, getting continuously slammed by swells with zero sleep. To make matters worse, Candice had a mild infection, and after some ridiculously expensive medical treatment that got the diagnosis wrong, this now turned into a serious problem and was getting worse fast! This is the unfiltered reality of living on the water. Tough conditions at sea, exhausting nights, and health scares miles away from a decent doctor. When more things go wrong than right you do question the sanity of living on a boat... For a little while at least...
