Aquila 35 Sport | Cannes Yachting Festival | Multihulls World

►► Unveiled as a world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Aquila 35 Sport joins the new Sport range as the American builder’s smallest model. ►Replacing the 36 Sport, this 35'6" (10.82 m) powercat adopts the muscular styling of the 45 Sport and its twin-step hull. Its 14'9" (4.5 m) beam still allows for three separate social areas: a forward lounge, helm station and spacious aft cockpit. ►The latter incorporates some of the cleverest features. The entire U-shaped bench seat slides electrically from port to starboard, either opening up a wide passageway or limiting access to just one side – practical with young children. Its adjustable backrest can also be used to create a huge sunpad, perfect for a nap or some well-earned rest after drinks! A wet bar and galley unit complete the setup. ►Forward, the lounge accommodates four people, with small cushions positioned along the sides to provide comfortable back support. The same attention to detail can be found at the helm station, with four seats featuring flip-up bolsters and a proper footrest. Below deck, a cabin with a king-size bed and separate bathroom makes it possible to spend a few nights aboard. An optional lithium battery pack notably allows the air conditioning to be used at anchor. ►The twin-step hull comes with twin 300 hp Mercury Verado V8s as standard or optional twin 400 hp Mercury Verado V10s. Aquila claims a top speed of 39 to 45 knots and a cruising speed of 25 to 34 knots.
