I make and fit a custom steel channel beam which will support the hinging engine box and companionway steps as well as make and fit the last diesel fuel tank bracket; I sort out the pathway that the engine controller cables will take and adjust the panels to accommodate these AND I get back to the Heads fit-out, getting A LOT of the good foundation work done there! Mistress is designed by one of the highly respected Dutch naval arcitects E.G. Van de Stadt, a Caribbean design, length 40ft/12m, beam 13ft/3.9m, draft 5ft/1.5m. Her hull and decks are built in mild steel and I have built her on my own and am also fitting her out on my own. I have not built any type of boat before Mistress. There were many reasons why, but the work stopped,... However, the work has re-started, thankfully, and I am on an exciting journey to finish Mistress and then go on my sailing adventures,...
