A Catamaran Sail to Captiva Island and Sanibel, Florida before Hurricane Ian's devastation.

The Burke family was completely spared from the devastation from Hurricane Ian after it took a turn for the east and made landfall south of the Tampa Bay area. The people of Southwest Florida were not so fortunate. The Burke's have been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in that area including Boca Grande, Captiva, Sanibel and Cayo Costa...all areas that will never be the same following this storm. The people of Southwest Florida were not so fortunate. Here, we anchor off Captiva and explore the island. We visit Captiva Island and Sanibel. We have a friendly encounter with a manatee, have lunch at the Bubble Room and tour the islands by bike and dinghy before heading home to St. Petersburg, FL.
