A big job on my list of jobs to do before I could move in was setting up the internet, this is mainly because I work from home and need decent internet, but also because I love streaming movies! In this video I talk through the items I bought, what's in the boxes, and what connects where. I hope this will be useful for some others looking to set up internet on their boats, and perhaps interesting to those who haven't thought about the possibilities of wireless internet in the home - you don't need a boat to go wireless! I bought my router and antenna from: https://www.solwise.co.uk/ The router is a Teltonika RUT240: https://www.solwise.co.uk/4g-routers-rut240.html The antenna is a Poynting A-XPOL-0001: https://www.solwise.co.uk/4g-antenna-omni-xpol-a0001.html The magnetic mounting pole is a Kuma Magpole which I bought from ebay. These come in different lengths, mine is 450mm long. The SIM card I chose is from SMARTY, it provides unlimited data (plus a package of calls and text which won't be required) for an introductory price of £16 per month for 12 months then £20 per month subsequently. This is not on contract so I could switch SIM's every month if I wanted! See all Smarty's SIM only deals here: https://smarty.co.uk/sim-only To see the other uses of the wooden box so far, check out video 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogzakHcjjns&t=43s&ab_channel=NarrowboatNoob
