3rd Row in Harbour Race Start #CorkWeek2024

With over 100 boats on the starting line of the Harbour Race there was plenty of ducking and diving to get some clear air. The Redline Racing Team tacked back onto Starboard a little earlier than they should have which left them short of the line. It was next to impossible to accelerate and keep hight on the line which result in the J109 Going to Red starting in Row 3. With the tide racing in it was always going to be favoured to tack onto port and hit the shore to shelter from the tide. It took about a minute and half to find a lane out to the right. After a quick tack and ducking a couple of boats the crew settled in for one of the most memorable races in our time in Cork.
