The 400’s were the most popular Hanse here in Australia to date and the ‘e’poxy versions are particularly sought after. Here in Pegusus we have this very popular model offered for sale by her original owners. Pegasus is the versatile three cabin layout giving great flexibility for both accommodation and storage while still having generous cockpit lockers. Hanse’s are known for their ability to tick boxes in terms of performance, ease of handling, style and quality. This generation Hanse boasted the swept back lead keel. The epoxy hull means a lighter, stiffer and stronger hull compared to alternative brands and materials of the same era. The self-tacking headsail makes one handed tacks a reality and the single rod linked steering system is a pleasure to drive. In Pegasus we see the upgraded genoa tracks and the sail wardrobe includes two overlapping genoas, a spinnaker plus MPS and the main and self-tacking headsail. The Yamnar engine was upgraded to the larger 54Hp and has been regularly maintained. Standing rigging was replaced new in just 2019.
