127 - Singapore airport and Canada trip
After touring a bit of the island of Penang last week, we now have a bumpy passage north to Langkawi, where we prepare the boat for us to spend some time away. The rest of this episode is a bit of a departure from the typical sailing content and covers our vacation back to Canada during October-November. Due to flight scheduling, we have to overnight in Singapore, and we decide to take the opportunity to tour Singapore's famed Changi International Airport, primarily the area known as the Jewel. The Jewel has an amazing architecture and ambiance, including a tall indoor waterfall, greenery, and food, and a movie theatre. On return to Canada, starting in Ontario, we visit a conservation area, seeing some interactive wildlife, do some outdoor jobs with Kevin's family, and enjoy a Canadian Thanksgiving gathering. Then in New Brunswick there's more work to do including roof upgrades, volunteering at the ski chalet, making pies, fixing and replacing a door, and picking some Beattie Potatoes.
