The Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 has an all-new hull design with distinctive chine that runs all the way forward. Ribeye is a British company building prime RIBs and this is their latest model called the Prime Nine 41. This is a very special boat because it's very fast and like all the Ribeye RIBs it is fully customisable. A key feature is the floating t-bar, which gives you a nice bit of shade as you're going along, and of course there's full protection from the windscreen. The real element of this boat though is aft. This particular model has a U-berth aft, which makes a great sun lounging area. But the real magic is back here in these twin 400HP Mercury engines, they can throw this boat along at 70 knots. Sealine was originally a British boatbuilder, but the craft are built in Germany these days and the influence of the marque's new home is evident in this newly launched design with some clever engineering touches. The Sealine C430 is all about outside living, which is very much the trend these days. The Swift Trawler 35 from Beneteau is a really versatile boat, notice how the table can come out from the saloon and go into the aft deck as a dining area, and the actual seat in the dining area unfolds to give you an occasional double bed. This is part of the popularity of this boat as it is ideally suited for a cruising couple who enjoy having occasional guests on board. Accommodation-wise there is an owner's cabin forward with a very generous double bed and a twin cabin on the port-hand side. One of the big the joys of boating is being outside, and this boat really caters for that, with the upper helm position. That is used to create a reverse C-shaped seating area in the tapering bow, ahead of a broad central helm console, with a spacious single-level cockpit deck and wide-open walkways all round. It also features the same below decks arrangement, with a double cabin, a heads with shower and a sparsely luxurious fit-out. However, as the name suggests, the outboard compatibility of the new boat also brings with it a fresh level of performance. Powered either by twin Mercury Verado 300 HP or 350 HP outboard engines, the manufacturers claim a top end in excess of 45 knots, exceeding the figures of the existing models by four of five knots. It also brings with it a lower purchase price and a greater ability to access shallow water regions; plus a fuel tank more than a quarter larger than those on the sterndrive models to help preserve the platform’s range, despite the inevitable reduction in running economy. In the aft part of the cockpit, the use of outboard motors also brings some extra versatility. The new 36 features the option of an alfresco galley built into the backs of the helm seats beneath the shelter of the T-top, allied to a further option for a six-man dining station in place of the standard forward-facing bench. When supplied with the electric lift-and-lower table, that enables the entire dining space to be converted into a large sunbathing platform, without inhibiting any of those precious walkaround decks. This is the Oyster 745, one of the company’s generation 6 designs with an all-new hull design by Rob Humphreys that has more beam carried further aft and also a plumb bow, which gives it roughly 15 per cent more interior volume than the previous Oyster 725. It is a higher performance hull that will give better hull speed and faster passage times. As with all Oyster’s models, the interior can be modified to suit the owner’s priorities, but they are all based around this big deck saloon with the vertical hull windows. It’s a bright open space very pleasant to spend time in with opening windows forward for plenty of air ventilation. This example has a four-cabin layout, plus the skipper’s cabin at the front. It includes the master cabin at the back, which has three vertical windows each side, giving a good view out. Compared with earlier Oyster designs, The Oyster 745 has a very clean, flush foredeck.
