Another chance to charter a Seawind 1260, yes, of course. Toni and I got excited; the Chesapeake Bay is beautiful in October. We started our normal preparations and decided to document the steps that we take in preparing for a local charter and go through the exercise of monitoring the weather. The weather will dictate our destinations and help choose our protected anchorages for the night. A week before our departure, Hurricane Ian made itself known, but no worries, all the weather models have Ian passing way to the west of the Chesapeake Bay, leaving the mid-Atlantic region quiet. This week I take on a LOT! We finish up two Samudra x Soul de La Mar Yoga + Freediving retreats which leads us into the Vertical Blue Freediving Competition.
