If you listen to the various discussions around the docks, you know that there is significant disparities among sailors concerning fixed docks and floating docks. For Toni and I, nothing beats a floating dock and we think most catamaran sailors would agree. Fixed docks required line adjustments, fender movements, and simply getting on and off the boat safely depends on the tides. However, a floating docks are a set it, and forget it. Irish Sailing Awards 2020 go live Thursday 11 February 2021 at 1900. MC Justin Cullen of Skerries Sailing Club will steer us through the night, with interviews and chats with nominees and winners. We’ll have the usual categories like Senior Instructor of the Year, along with Training Centre of the Year, and Sailor of the Year. We’ll also be giving the Sustainability Award for those making a difference to the environment and the Youth Sailor Award for the fantastic young sailors who represent Ireland on the international stage. But we’ll also have a new Leadership Award for someone with a long-term vision, and the re-introduced Volunteer of the Year which received dozens of nominations from around the country. Ecco la gassa d’amante! La gassa d’amante serve in molti casi: 🛥️ Per fissare una cima agli occhielli degli angoli di una vela (angoli di mura) ⚓ Per assicurare una cima alla catena dell’ancora 🌊 Per fissare oggetti che possono cadere fuori bordo ⚓ Per l’ormeggio di una barca, ecc.
