If you listen to the various discussions around the docks, you know that there is significant disparities among sailors concerning fixed docks and floating docks. For Toni and I, nothing beats a floating dock and we think most catamaran sailors would agree. Fixed docks required line adjustments, fender movements, and simply getting on and off the boat safely depends on the tides. However, a floating docks are a set it, and forget it. La sécurité en mer sur un voilier est primordiale pour l’ensemble des marins. Plusieurs situations peuvent entraîner rapidement l’hypothermie, sauter à l’eau car son voilier est en train de couler, se retrouver dans son canot de survie de longues heures, une chute accidentelle à la mer, un déséquilibre etc… Se retrouver à l’eau sans combinaison de survie réduit considérablement nos chances de survie.
