Much like the LMF 33 LC, the 28′ Landing Craft was built for commercial purposes. The Aluminum hull and drop down bow door, allow for easy beaching on less than desirable coastlines. The 28′ was built for the Anderson County fire department in South Carolina, so this boat had a built in water tank and pump so a hose can be connected for fire fighting operations. Being a custom boatbuilder, Lyman-Morse will be able to customize future orders to fit the exact needs of the buyers. Whether you are looking for a more commercial use boat or something simple to get your equipment out to your private island, the LMF 28 LC is the boat that can do it all. This vessel was equipped with twin Yamaha 250’s which allows for cruise speeds in the mid 30’s and 46+ knots WOT. #boatbuilding #maine #aluminumboats
North Sails is changing the narrative on cableless sails, and Helix Luff paired with Load Sharing Technology is our answer to this headsail trend. The critical breakthrough with Helix sails is that redistributed loads allow the headsail to project forward the structure on the front of the sail to achieve headstay tension and luff projection while reducing the load on the boat, mast, and rigging. The engineering emphasis is focused on the innovative, barely visible carbon Helix Luff structure, a 3Di design manipulation which projects the sail forward, punching the luff out in front of the boat. Today way a day of sitting in the sunshine and splicing ropes for a new bridal on my mooring. My hands are sore but the ropes are done and they look pretty good! Today you can buy dock lines and anchor lines with an eye already spliced into one end, but this is more expensive than buying the same line off a spool. It also forces you to buy your line in one of the available lengths. Putting in your own eye splice can be a better option. A splice you put in yourself will be just as strong as one done by a professional rigger, and splicing an eye into three-strand rope is really very easy.
