Have you ever wondered how and why we apply the flecks of colour you see on our floor? On traditional flowcoat floors, fleck provides much needed grip to what would be an otherwise slippery surface. On our modern moulded floors, the grip is provided by our 'non-skid' pattern and the fleck is just there for it's good looks! It is the first thing we apply to the mould. Each colour is carefully sprinkled with a spray gun to ensure an even application before the next solid binding layer of gelcoat and in this case the customer's choice of Storm Grey. It may look bumpy on the mould, but it'll come out looking silky smooth when we pop this part. A great day of sailing needs to be capped with a great dinner. Some vegetables from the garden, some prime ribeyes, and a nice bottle of red wine surely creates one of those "Moments in Time". We are anchored in Battle Creek, across from Long Cove, the home port of our 18-foot Trimaran going back to the 1970s. This is where it all began.
Few Feels like a long time ago now March 26th 2019 the first sail aboard Alexander Hamilton - crew for the delivery trip my very good friend Dan, the very patient previous owner of Alexander Hamilton Ray Lymington and not forgetting one of the finest yacht photographer and filmmaker Alexis Andrews from Antigua. ( needless to say he had no influence on this video )
