A gente sempre escuta essa pergunta “mas não é frio no barco?”… E a verdade é que sim, pode ser, e muito! Nós mesmos já passamos muito frio no Utopia laaá no comecinho, durante o inverno da Suécia. Quem lembra? 😂❄️ E cansados de viver de casacos e mantinhas dentro de casa, finalmente resolvemos comprar um aquecedor novo. O nosso antigo Reflex, infelizmente não era tão efetivo, e já tinha passado do prazo de validade. Então decidimos mudar o sistema, e instalar um Vevor, que funciona com uma ventoinha. Primeiro puxa diesel do tanque, envia para a câmara de combustão, acontecendo a queima. O ventilador interno sopra ar frio através de um trocador de calor de alumínio, e esse ar sai quente pelas saídas dos dutos que distribuímos no barco. A fumaça da combustão é expelida para fora do barco pelo escapamento. Claro que já aproveitamos a bagunça pra dar uma ajeitada no banheiro também, tinta nova, algumas decorações e detalhes que melhoram o nosso dia a dia ✨ E o melhor é que o consumo de diesel dele é bem baixo, gasta em média: 🔥 150/400ml/H, dependendo da potência (nunca usamos no máximo até hoje) ⚡ e cerca de 10W/40W contínuos, com pico maior apenas na partida, chegando a 100W. Pra quem vive a bordo no inverno europeu… isso muda MUITO a vida. Somos muito mais felizes com nossa casa bem quentinha! 🩵🤗 O vídeo completo da instalação você já sabe, já está no YouTube do Utopia. Caribbean Sailing During Hurricane Season! ⛵️⛈️🌤️ Sailing in the Caribbean during hurricane season means dealing with more frequent squalls compared to the dry season. The weather becomes inconsistent and even if the forecast looks good, you might encounter squalls on longer passages, with quite big waves in the acceleration zones between the islands. Pick the right weather window, these squalls are usually brief. Reef early and relax—sunshine will return in a few minutes. Sometimes though, tropical waves bring bad weather for a longer period of time. In those cases, it’s best to find a safe anchorage and wait it out. Weather planning is crucial during this season.
