In this short video we explain how to tie a bowline when you can’t see your hands. The bowline is one of the most commonly used knots in sailing or on sailboats. Many of us have learned the rabbit-hole-tree method, but I find that difficult to use when I can't see what I'm doing. With practice the method shown in this video can be done by feel, without the need to see your hands. To tie the bowline around an object using this method, simply pass the bitter end around the object before passing it back through the thumb loop (i.e. between steps 2 and 3) and pulling the knot over itself. Usas el rizo 2 en infinidad de ocasiones. Nunca pasa nada. Pero justo hoy, cuando tienes 35 nudos de intensidad de viento, cuando el viento tiene intensidad, persistencia y fetch que produce unas olas de 5 a 7m de altura, va y se hace un lío el rizo 2 en la baluma. Irremediablemente tengo que encaramarme al palo a la altura de la botavara con el riesgo que ello implica. No sin problemas, me subo con ayuda de los peldaños y llego hasta el grátil de la vela mayor. Consigo arriar la vela y t Toni deslía el rizo. Una prueba más superada. Efter 30 dagar till havs har vi äntligen fått börja upptäcka Franska Polynesien på riktigt. ❤️ Vi har lämnat Taiohae och seglat vidare till den magiskt vackra Daniel's Bay på Nuku Hiva. Här finns inga hotell och knappt någon lokalbefolkning heller, bara grönskande berg och en strand där barnen kan springa fritt hela dagen. Imorgon väntar en vandring till Vaipo Waterfall, ett av Polynesiens högsta vattenfall med en fallhöjd på omkring 395 meter. Vägen dit går genom dalen med frodig regnskog, fruktträd och små odlingar. Utsikten sägs vara minst lika fantastisk som själva vattenfallet.
