It's even more rare we decide to run a bay boat 10 miles outside of the inlet, and stay out there for hours. And it's beyond rare that we'd do so on a day when it was blowing 15 knots and three to four foot swells were rolling through the ocean. Yet when we heard there was a hot bite going off we pointed the bow east, ran through the open sea, and fished out there long enough to catch a slew of cobia, bonito, and kingfish. Neste sábado (24), aconteceu virtualmente a Reunião de Comandantes, onde os representantes dos veleiros inscritos no evento fazem suas considerações sobre as expectativas para o evento, que terá suas primeiras regatas neste domingo (25). O grande encontro da modalidade conta com 80 barcos das principais classes de vela oceânica, como ORC, RGS, Mini Transat, Multicasco, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. E, pela primeira vez, reúne regatas presenciais e virtuais, com as provas online feitas pelo aplicativo Virtual Regatta Inshore.
