Three Truly Classic 78s have been launched so far: Heartbeat, Drumfire and Bontekoning. While Heartbeat and Drumfire shared a similar interior and deck layout, they were thoroughly personalised. A unique feature of both yachts is their double cockpit and double coach roof layout. This allowed a large and airy aft owner’s cabin to be integrated within the classic hull shape. The team at Lyman-Morse deftly executed a construction feat recently with our large architectural canopy project currently under construction in Thomaston, Maine. The team craned the 80' x 32' composite canopy-half outside, flipped it over, and nestled it back inside so the stage of the project can begin. This half will now be receiving a Class A marine-grade coating, while the second half is constructed adjacent to this one. This is part of a major architectural feature coming to Cambridge, MA's Kendall Square this fall. The canopy will cover the entrances to the MBTA stations and serve as a major showpiece for the major redevelopment project. Turner Construction is leading the project.
