The Rio 2016 One Person Dinghy (Laser) fleet will welcome a bumper 46 boats, making it the largest fleet at the Olympic Games. Laser sailing will see some of the closest, compact racing of any of the Olympic fleets with each sailor receiving a supplied boat, ensuring an even playing field. With races scheduled for inside and outside Guanabara Bay, it will see the best all-round sailor conquer. The marina takes on a different persona when the sun stays low and the cold winds start to blow. I went to check on “Moments in Time” during the winter solstice. The boats on the hard were whistling in the wind, the sounds of laughter and tinking of drinks from the pool area had long departed, droning of harbor traffic remained eerily silent, and the lapping of waves had become more pronounced. I watched the sun reached its zenith over Moments in Time as shared in the last frames of the video. It was cold so I did not linger long. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts.
