The Figure 8 is one of the greatest knots of all. This is the figure 8 stoppper knot, used to prevent line from slipping through grommets, pulleys and the like. It's used in sailing, boating, climbing and ton of other applications. This is also the first part of a proper figure 8 knot for climbing. While not the most practical way to tie this knot, it looks kinda cool. The composite deck, cockpit and cabin house of Hull 2 of the #LM46 were infused as a single but complex piece this week at @lyman_morse. The wooden hull of the LM46 provides the experience of sailing a classic yacht; the composite deck provides the water-tight longevity and cost efficiency of a modern yacht. One of the largest fleets to be on the starting line in Marsamxett, the Round Comino Passage race attracted a good mix of racers and cruisers. Lee Satariano's Artie III was the first to finish and went on to win the overall race on corrected time.
