The Figure 8 is one of the greatest knots of all. This is the figure 8 stoppper knot, used to prevent line from slipping through grommets, pulleys and the like. It's used in sailing, boating, climbing and ton of other applications. This is also the first part of a proper figure 8 knot for climbing. While not the most practical way to tie this knot, it looks kinda cool. Today we welcomed the stunning Akula to Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, a brand new 59.4m (195') superyacht built by @RossiNaviYachts in Italy. The length puts her in the top 5% by LOA in the world. Painted in a distinctive red and white colour scheme, she has a beam of 11.3 metres, a draught of 3.5 metres and a volume of 1,241 gross tonnes.
