The Figure 8 is one of the greatest knots of all. This is the figure 8 stoppper knot, used to prevent line from slipping through grommets, pulleys and the like. It's used in sailing, boating, climbing and ton of other applications. This is also the first part of a proper figure 8 knot for climbing. While not the most practical way to tie this knot, it looks kinda cool. This video was taken at the dock by Andy on 10/10 @ 4am. I am just now able to post. The boat faired well and is fine. As soon as we can get on the dock to assess for damage we will. Hope everyone faired well too!
