The Rolex Middle Sea Race is a unique test in offshore racing. Starting and finishing in the same place, the counterclockwise circumnavigation of Sicily marks the close of the Mediterranean yachting season. Every year, hundreds of international yachts set off from Malta’s capital of Valetta to take on a spectacular 605 nautical mile course that includes passing the active volcanic island of Stromboli. It's time for the 2017 Para World Sailing Championships in Kiel, Germany. More than 80 sailors from 39 nations will compete over five days of competition. The event is being held at the Schilksee Olympic Centre, as part of the 2017 Kieler Woche. Competitors will race across the three Para World Sailing Championship Classes; the 2.4 Norlin OD, Men's Hansa 303 and Women's Hansa 303.
